You will learn how to use the MIG welder, the oxygen-acetylene torch, various metal saws, and grinders to heat, cut, join, bend, and polish steel. You will use your new skills to work on a group sculpture and personal projects to take home with you. This is a great opportunity to explore welding for the first time - No previous experience necessary. All materials, safety equipment, and tools will be provided. Please B.Y.O.Bagged lunch - the Steel Yard will supply healthy snacks and treats. Please note that the Steel Yard has a strict policy of not making weapons during class time.
